Ramps, 2019 | Frederic, Wisconsin, USA
In May 2019, Michael Legan led an experiential workshop in Frederic, Wisconsin pertaining to the ephemeral plant species, ramps (Allium tricoccum). The event was part of the 2019 iteration of Field Experience and included a deep listening exercise, ramp forage, and community-building through collaborative pizza-making and a shared meal.
Funded by a Visual Arts Fund Grant with support from the Andy Warhol Foundation, Field Experience is an annual program founded by Julka Almquist aimed at inspiring a sense of reciprocity with nature through the exploration of diverse landscapes.
